Used extensively in films and television, Isis Ceramics film credits include: Emma starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Ladies in Lavender with Dame Judy Dench and Dame Maggie Smith and Finding Neverland starring Jonny Depp. Isis Ceramics have also made appearances in television dramas such as: Dickens’ Bleak House and Little Dorritt, Midsommer Murders, Mrs Gaskill’s Cranford and Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility, Emma and Pride and Prejudice. Numerous publications have featured items from the Isis Ceramics range, including in 2009, a four-page spread in BBC Home and Antiques Magazine entitled ‘Antiques of the Future’.
Deborah was a runner up in the European Woman of the Year Competition 2003. She has been awarded twice by the Oxford Preservation Trust, and was a founding sponsor of the Oxford Literary Festival for ten years. She and her husband Roger have two grown up children and live in a farmhouse adjacent to The New Toffee Factory.
Tours of the Isis Ceramics Pottery can be arranged for visiting groups. A conducted tour includes viewing the whole production, from making to painting. Tours may be accompanied by a talk given by Deborah, followed by a tea. Deborah also gives short talks and lectures outside the pottery by arrangement.
